Re Scoliosis/early puberty-reply to Jodi Z

I sent you a reply but must have clicked the wrong button. Thanks very

much for your information.

Dr stanhope is Jack's Consultant and has been since Jack was 2. He is

a really great Consultant and Jack has grown really well under his

care. I spoke to him today regarding the Scoliosis and am hoping to

have an appointment this Frday with the local spinal expert although I

may end up going to London. Dr Stanhope doesn't feel Jack needs the

delaying drugs I think because he has grown very well and is above the

50th centile now so should achieve a good height even if puberty is

abit early. I have to trust him on this and I think he will review

again in October at our next appointment. I don't think these drugs

are so widely used in the UK.

Has your son Maxwell(we nearly called Jack Max!!)stopped growing now

and is his final height what your consultant expected? Also if you can

remember, how long did puberty last altogther?
