Guest guest
le, My non-rss child has a seizure disorder and all three of my kids have had febrile seizures. What exactly is a focal seizure, I have not heard of that? Pattie > > I had Coby and Carlee at the neuro today. Carlee has sleeping issues > and night terrors. Guest guest
It's a partial (focal) seizure. It only effects one part of the brain. I haven't had a chance to do much research yet, you guys were the first place I turned. le, mom to: Shye, Brock, Coby & Carlee
Guest guest
le, began having what they thought were some type of seizures. Very tiny upper body and head movements. She had an EEG which showed an abnormality on the right side of her brain. Where this spot is supposed to cycle 9-12 times per second, hers only does 2. But she also had a skull fracture years ago, so who knows. However, they are going to put her in the hospital and do a 3-day EEG to try and pinpoint any of the seizure movements (since they often only happen 1-3 times per day and are only 2-3 seconds long). We could have started a medication for it, but we finally decided that because she is already on so many different meds, I really want to find out before we try another one. , at 10 yrs old, is really " maxed out " emotionally on the meds. I will keep you posted on what I learn. Jenn > > I had Coby and Carlee at the neuro today. Carlee has sleeping issues > and night terrors. Coby they believe is having focal seizures.
