Cider

is usually cloudy, just as homemade apple juice is cloudy. So I would

guess that Langers cider isn’t entirely SCD-legal.

Having

said that, however, you are in the hospital, so probably can’t get either

homemade apple juice or a better cider. I would dilute the Langers cider

and hope for the best. When you are back home you can switch to a better

cider or homemade apple juice.

That

is what I did when I was in the hospital after one of my surgeries just after I

started SCD. I was so new to SCD (and ill, besides) so didn’t have

my own foods ready for someone to bring me in the hospital. I was on a

clear liquid diet regardless, so I didn’t really have any issues or

digestive reactions from the slight amount of illegals in the apple juice I was

given. When I got home again I buckled down and went back to fanatical adherence

to SCD.

sorry

to jump in with an off topic question, but i am in the hospital now as my 3

month flare has gotten worse. i am not able to eat much but am enjoying langers

100% pure cider. is it legal eventhough it is not brown and cloudy. it has

nothing added to it and is pressed whole apples but it is clear in color.

again sorry for the disturbance.
