Hey all,

I have a question for anyone who is further along than me. I'm just

over 3 mos. post op, and everything is going great. I am seeing my

surgeon next week for a check-up, but I was wondering if anyone else

still had trouble eating certain things this far along. For example,

french fries are very hard to eat and also things like melon. I don't

know if it's just me, or maybe it could be from the class II elastics

that I have to wear, but if it was the elastics, I would think the

pain would subside already.

Besides that, I feel great. I'm still dealing with the lip competency

problem, which is getting really old now, but I'm still hopeful that

my lips will eventually come together at rest. Although, that may not

happen until I get all of this hardware out of my mouth:-).

I hope all of my Late May/Early June buddies are doing well as well.

especially french fries, sandwich and things that need a lot of chewing.

Good to know I'm not alone in that:-). I really miss eating some

foods....I would love to have a subway sub right now, but the lunch

meat is just too hard to chew:-(.

I was on a liquid/soft diet for three months and by then I couldn't sit in the

same room as someone eating " normal " food. Hopefully we will be able to eat what

every we want without any pain or discomfort soon!!!
