Guest guest
Hi - I too am self employed (I have a graphic design business). I had a BSSO advancement and split osteotomy almost 4 weeks ago (I'm still tightly banded and on liquids), and was able to start back 1/2 days by day 6, full days by day 13. I think it depends alot on what you're having done (sounds like you're having a lot more done, if they're expecting 8 weeks off) and what your business is. Unless your job involves a lot of physical labor, you might find you'll feel up to putting in partial hours to keep things going far sooner than 8 weeks. I found that being self-employed I had much more flexibility because I could work for two hours and go nap for two if I needed it and spread the workflow out more through the day, so I was able to get back up to speed far sooner than if I had been employed by someone else. Hope this is helpful, good luck on your upcoming procedure! -- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " ryleighroo2002 " <blisstherapy@e...> wrote: > I was told that I will probably be off work for about 8 weeks (or more) > and being self employed I am very nervous about how I am going to pay > my bills for the time being not able to work.
