Guest guest
Jac, I'm probably in the minority here and I'll probably get flamed, but I'm always in trouble for something anyway. I don't see your post as being about your political beliefs, but rather about your need for support right now when you're missing your husband. Yes, he is away from you right now due to a political, but that doesn't mean that you don't deserve our support, no matter how any of us feel about the war or our troops being over there or whatever. Your husband has a job to do and he is doing it, and that is commendable. HE and YOU deserve our support, whether we are for or against the war, the President, or anything else. I actually have no idea what your political beliefs are, nor do you know mine, so this discussion isn't about politics, just about your love and concern for your husband. You're both in my prayers and if my opinion matters, I have no problem with your posts about missing him. When I'm away from my husband or kids for whatever reason and miss them, I can post about it. Why shouldn't you be allowed to as well? ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune! Guest guest
I was just trying to type up a message that tried to say something like this, but it was no wear near as elegant. I ditto this message, Jac and I truly hope that coming here and chatting with us all can help your aching heart! I too hope I don't get flamed, I never really get involved in these and I truly appreciate all that everyone has to add to this group. Guest guest
Actually, as long as you talk about your husband and what is happening for you and him and not about the president or government who got him there (either supporting or not supporting), I don't think you're being political at all. We can't deny that we have friends and lovers over in the sandbox. It's unrealistic. However, when we write about supporting or not supporting the political decisions that got them sent over there, that's when it becomes " politics. " Don't go, Jac. Guest guest
I'm gonna chime in here too, because I have lived years with my husband coming and going in dangerous parts of the world, and he's leaving for Iraq after the first of the year -- Jac, dontcha dare leave -- we need you, and you need all the support and friendship you can get, even if it's letters on a screen. We've always been here for each other. Politics will always push buttons, but when your frustration with government policy is really about how it affects your personal day-to-day life, it stops being about politics and starts being about caring. I'm entirely against the war, and entirely for our troops, wherever they are sent, for whatever reason. They are doing what they took an oath to do. They can't do it without our support. ~~ Lyn G

Guest guest
Dont leave :-) I know where you are coming from. Heck i wish so bad w i could talk about what this effect has had on me physcial and mentally and I know i cant blame anyone for the 6 pounds i have gained- but myself, but with hubby gone and I'm in a constant worry about him , One week i worry im not eating enough to keep a flea a live then the next week im crying about 6 pounds i cant get rid of.Im just all messed up right now- I have to find my way out of this hole or these 6 pounds are going to turn into 60 pounds. But when i come in to this group and i see another person living and breathing the same fears as mine- It gives me courage to say If she can Do than I can do it. Jac you are needed here on this message for more than my reasons. Tara
