Guest guest
Only today I heard of another little autistic boy whose mom tried GF and declared it to not help enough to be worth it. Believe me, I identify. The first thing I tried was Feingold and coming from a typical American diet didn't think it produced enough difference to be worth the trouble. I only wish parents would try a rare foods rotation diet before they throw in the towel. It won't be the answer the answer for everyone but it was SUCH a miracle for Andy... and gluten-free wouldn't have helped him at all since grains weren't his problem. I want to cry when I think of all the people who could be helped by special diets. They're not easy, and it can be frustrating to figure out what YOUR system will tolerate. There's so little guidance out there, and so little encouragement from medical practitioners. That's why this group exists. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
