Hi Rene:) Just wanted to say good luck. I know what the waiting game

is being ex military. I started this jorney March of 03 had braces put

on June 03 had Finaly the surgery Sept 15th. Seems like I have been

at this forever. Keep us posted:)

Hi Reme,

I sympathize with you about the delays and wanting to get started.

I had a long wait getting preapproved from my insurance plan, and of

deciding which OD to go with. I went to several OD consults as I

was also told my mouth would be very complex. It meant that chosing

the OD would be more important. I am glad you are going to someone

who can help you with your situation. I hope he can use the molds

too. Good luck! Let us know what you find out.

Thanks Dennis! I think I am being taught a lesson in patience. None

of my doctors so far have been military. They won't do the ortho but

would do the surgery, but I have a civilian surgeon already. I just

hope I can get the surgery done before we leave here (we may be

moving in May '07).

Rene - I'm so sorry to hear about the delay to the start of your

process. Too bad they (your doc's) can't get you an earlier

appointment at UNC. Hang in there - I know it's hard to be patient.

Good Morning Rene Yup The recovery is doing alot better. Pain is

very litte and is now controled with just some simple tylenol. I

still have a little swelling. More on one side than the other so I

have a lopsided face. Other than that I am starting to think that if

I had to do it all again I would. Last thursaday when I seen my OS he

asked that and me still feeling like crap said no way. Now that I am

feeling 80% better I can say that I would. Can't wait to get this

splint out. That is the biggest problem trying to talk. Everytime I

say somthing at home most of my family says Huh? Oh well I guess

better than being wired. Have a good day.
