Regina,

I think that is my SIL's situation too. I have not seen such a fast food

culture in a household before. It was a once in a while thing in our home and

in my parents' home. Kim O

Regina, I don't know what's worse: not having ever seen a broccoli or

cauliflower before, or only having seem them prepared as I had: egged, breaded

and then fried. I guess it's the Napolitan version of tempura! LOL! We had

fried eggplant too of course, often made even more sinful after frying by then

making it either parmesan or rollentine. Zucchini was made same way. I

think the only thing that saved us from being 600 lb children was when we had

plain old mashed taters & canned peas & carrots! We also would see escarole &

beans and broccolirabe, but those were a little bitter and appealed more to

adult tastebuds and so we wouldn't eat them. Today, don't get between me and

a dish of sauteed broccolirabe garlic & olive oil. Italian soul food!

I have a very simple decent recipe to approximate that fried cauliflower, if

anyone wants it.
