Guest guest
Dee, I think week 4 post op was still quite tough for me especially going back to work. I did though start feeling better at week 5 post op and the energy is coming back little by little even though I still have to take little cat naps throughout the day. I did find by getting back to work and getting my mind off the surgery did help. While at home the only thing I could do was focus on every little thing. When I went back to work even though it was tough at first, it did help to see my friends and get back to a somewhat normal life. Wow, there's life outside of this surgery!...haha I never did have a splint in nor bands until last week. That is probably why I am having such a difficult time with the bands. My OS put the bands in for the first time last Thursday. It's like I am taking steps backward instead of forward. My jaw is trying to relapse so the OS has them in quite tight. I can get a baby spoon in and that is about it. I have to wear the bands at all times. Yes, my kids are more than ready to come home. They really want to come home now, but I just got back to work and didn't want to ask for days off so soon. Plus, it is good that they are there because they have 24 hour supervision whereas here they would be home alone all day which I don't like even though they are old enough to stay home alone. That is great that you have your parents to help with your kids, especially since they are still young. My girls are 14 and 12 and it would of been okay for them to stay home during my recovery, but it has been nice not having to drive them everywhere and listen to them telling me they are bored...(haha) --Caboose > > > , > > > > > > Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but I've been at my parents > > > relaxing and they don't have internet access there .
