Guest guest
Marilyn, Oh thank you for responding. I appreciate that. Since I wrote the prior msg, I have gone to an allergist and had all those pin pricks and needles. It turns out I am not lactose intolerant but rather allergic to casein. I am glad to know the truth. So, now, can I eat the homemade yogurt if allergic to casein? Do you happen to know? I hate to spend $60 for a yogurt maker if I can't eat the yogurt. Do you or anyone know of a good yogurt maker? On Amazon there is a yogurt maker on the Gottschall's book page. I thought I would order both together to get free shipping. Oh, well, I need to get on with the diet. Like you say, I am more sick than I realize. You are right ... inflammation in the gut caused my polymyalgia rheumatica (pmr) to flare and boy did I ever hurt. I was on 3mg of pred and the doc upped it to 10mg and gave me a cortizone shot in his office. I have come to believe that inflammation in the gut can cause other conditions to flare. So that is why I have to get on with the scd diet. Thanks, PattyAnn
