Guest guest
Kay, Glad to hear everything is going well for you. You are going to hate me when I say this, but I have no splint or bands in. My OS will put the bands in probably next week or the week after. He is one who believes in letting the jaw heal a bit before putting pressure on it. I just love his way of thinking..(haha) Sounds like your diet is the same as mine..Egg salad, pancakes, etc..I seem to be staying right at the 13lbs that I loss from the start of post op. I thought that once I started adding the soft foods the weight would jump right up, but so far it hasn't. That of course is good news. I was just remembering a funny incident in the hospital this morning. The hospital staff had me all hooked up to IV's, etc and were getting ready to wheel me into the OR from the holding room and I stopped them and said they had to hold off because I had to go to the bathroom. They were like lady in 5 minutes we will have you hooked up to the bladder tube or whatever they call it and you won't have to go. I was like nope, that's not good enough for me because I have to go now. They had to wheel me near a bathroom so I could hop off the bed and relieve myself. That held up surgery for about 10 minutes, but oh well, I just had to go right then and there... (haha) Anyway, sorry to get off track with that story, but since I didn't have a computer I wasn't able to tell all my hospital stories..(haha) Keep me posted on your recovery & I will talk to you soon! -Caboose > > > > Hi All, > > > > > > > > Just letting you all know that I did survive my first day back > > at > > > > work after surgery.
