Guest guest
Hey , I'm still trying to catch up and was waiting to see this post. I'm sorry to hear that Jordan's weight wasn't good. I have been wondering what Dr. H had to say about . My niece had to have the Alumentim formula. By the way, since that formula is so expensive you might want to check into your insurance company covering that or submitting receipts and getting some reimbursement. As far as keeping food hot, I think it was pampered chef or even tupperware (but I think it was pampered chef) that had a pouch thing, that probably held one of their cookware items, but it kept food warm. I will look into something for you. My boss always seems to have some kind of hunting magazine or something that has something you are always looking for. I think the same way with for next year. This year she's only 1/2 day kindergarten but for first grade and lunch, the only thing she eats would be either grilled cheese which by lunch time will be soggy and she HATES squishy food or soup. I could always put it in a thermostat and have her practice opening it without spilling it and maybe using a straw or something. When do you go back to Dr. H with the boys? We are going on December 28. I miss you and your family. It was so good to see you guys. B and Kelli lafl109@... wrote: Hi Everyone, Jordan and had their appt with Dr. H yesterday. Jordan lost about 1 lb from last visit. He went from 16.8 kg to 16.6 kg. His height improved - it went from 104.6 cm to 106.2 cm. He was sick over the weekend - vomiting and diarrhea and hardly ate anything but a piece of toast and 2 crackers for the whole day. His diet has also changed since he started school in Sept. Since there's no way his lunch can be heated (unlike his other school) I send him with a sandwich everyday which isn't as much calories. Before I would send him to school with rice, nuggets, noodles, broccoli, carrots, hotdogs... I need to find a lunch box or some device that can keep food warm for a few hours. Any ideas? Please let me know. Because of his weight loss Dr. H put him back on Periactin. Can anyone using periactin tell me how their child reacted to it in the beginning? I am afraid of the mood/behavioral side effects since he's having some trouble in school already, and the drowsiness. Dr. H wants him to take it before breakfast and dinner but I wonder if he will be sleepy in school after taking the morning dose. Dr H prescribed Zantac for and advised us to change the formula to Alimentum. I started giving this to yesterday and he does not like it one bit. On the can it does state that it does not look or taste like milk or soy. It takes so long for him to take a few ounces. Dr. H also said that it looks like he has allergies to something because he has eczema in the crease of is arms, neck, and foot. That's another reason why she suggested we switch formulas. If there's no change, then he needs to go to GI. His height is much better than his weight. He weighed 6.1 kg and has been this weight for the past 3 weeks. He's slowing falling on the curve. Dr. H doesn't think he has RSS though. I'll keep you posted. mom to Jordan 4.11 yrs Rss G tube, GH, Periactin 5.2cc, Tums, Vit D and 41/2 months Zantac
