Guest guest
Hi all, It's been a while since I've checked in over here. I'm excited to get back in the group though and start preparing myself for surgery on Sept. 29th. I'm not scared about the procedure (yet), just a little nervous about anesthesia and surgery in general, because the most time I've ever spent in a hospital or Dr.'s office was for ear infections and the like. But I'm sure by the time for my surgery I'll be ready to get this done and hopefully not worried. I'm meeting with my OS on the 20th, and then my OD on the 28th to put surgery hooks on. I've just got to let my boss know about all this, because he has never even said anything about my braces and doesn't know I've got this coming up, hehe. Anyway, I've had my lower braces on since January, and uppers since April, so I'm really excited that my teeth moved so quickly and I'm ready already. I was originally told January or February '06 for surgery. I'll be having my lower jaw moved back, aligned and balanced (like tires, hah!) and my upper jaw moved up and maybe spread a little. I'm looking forward to my OS visit on the 20th so I can find out more. Anyone else looking at late Sept. or early Oct. surgeries? I'd be glad to take on a buddy. ~
Guest guest
Hi Nice to meet you. I guess I could be your Buddy. I am having my Upper and Lower Jaw Surgery on September 15th. I am 36 yaers young and have been wearing full braces since June of 2003. I am having my Lower Jaw moved forward and my Upper Jaw brought down and widened. I am slightly scared to have this done. I have been put under with surgery before and I think that is what scares me as I didn't like it. Here is my Photo's of what my teeth look like. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/deon527/my_photos I have been biting in to the roof of my mouth for so long that This will be a blessing to be almost done. Anyway please keep me posted. Dennis~
