Guest guest
Hi Tonya, Apart from hospital and Dr's appts I didn't move out of the house for about 3 weeks as I was very swollen and badly bruised and I didn't feel comofrtable going out in public looking that way and I was also on crutches and I knew that if I went out with them then people would stop and ask questions. I am hoping to be returning to work in a week! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Tonya - Rant away- it's what we are here for. I know what you mean about going out in public. Had to go to the store Sunday, and it was the first time out in public in about a week. Little children stopped and stared, old people looked and then looked away - it was not all that inviting to be on display like that. I just tell myself that this is temp and will be over soon. You're already 12 days post-op (and I'm 7 days now ) we've come a long way in a short time - it's only going to get better. Cyndy tonyag38 wrote: Just wanted to say hi to everyone. My swelling has not gone down much yet, and it is really frustrating. Maybe about 50%. Better than nothing I guess. When I don't want to go out in public my husband doesn't understand. Ah, you don't look that bad. They just don't understand. I went to a very public auto show in my home town last night and it was very difficult. People staring. Plus, its hard to be out in the heat for very long. At this point, I'm just very ill. With everybody. I'm tired of being numb, swollen and this splint!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, I did it to myself. Well, just wanted to get out some frustrations. I haven't heard anything on here from Angel (Aug 8 surgery) or Austria. I hope they are ok. Suppost to go back to work on Tuesday but going to put off another week. Still having dizzy spells and not a lot of energy. Hope everyone is doing ok and good luck with any up-coming surgeries.
