Forgive me if this question has been asked before, but if you are taking a round

of Flagyl, should you take acidophilus at the same time? Will the antibiotic

make the probiotic useless? Should you wait until the antibiotic is over, and

then take a probiotic? Thanks for any advice!

I think it's best to take tons of probiotics while on the

antibiotics. But separate taking them by several hours. I had

Flagyl for a month when I first got IBS, and nobody said anything about

probiotics and I was deathly sick the whole time, tons of die-off and

tons of D, and when it was over I had black fur on my tongue that felt a

half-inch thick. THEN the doctor put me on a probiotic, which was milk

based, so THAT made me sick for another month while I got the black

tongue eliminated. Needless to say, I've never taken antibiotics

again without plenty of compensatory probiotics!
