Guest guest
Forgive me if this question has been asked before, but if you are taking a round of Flagyl, should you take acidophilus at the same time? Will the antibiotic make the probiotic useless? Should you wait until the antibiotic is over, and then take a probiotic? Thanks for any advice! T. Guest guest
I think it's best to take tons of probiotics while on the antibiotics. But separate taking them by several hours. I had Flagyl for a month when I first got IBS, and nobody said anything about probiotics and I was deathly sick the whole time, tons of die-off and tons of D, and when it was over I had black fur on my tongue that felt a half-inch thick. THEN the doctor put me on a probiotic, which was milk based, so THAT made me sick for another month while I got the black tongue eliminated. Needless to say, I've never taken antibiotics again without plenty of compensatory probiotics! Forgive me if this question has been asked before, but if you are taking a round of Flagyl, should you take acidophilus at the same time? Will the antibiotic make the probiotic useless?
