Guest guest
Congrats on your 100 pounds gone forever but not forgotten. I hope you're OK with the temporary lull in weight loss. Here's some unsolicited advice. Don't get creeped out if you hit a plateau for a long time. I plateaued for 5 months only to start up losing again. Amazingly during that time I lost the most in inches. It was as if my body needed a breather so it could rearrange itself before it went any further. As long as you're doing what you're supposed to do, let your body do what it's supposed to do. I've had this type of long term plateu 2x in the past 2 1/2 years but I'm down 160 pounds now. As my girlfriend says, don't quit two minutes before the miracle! Welcome. We look forward to your posts. Guest guest
TJ, we ARE ALL in therapy. All of us, collectively. I am going to be 22 years post op in May. But I've been in crisis for the last 6 months. Not by weight in body, but by weight in brain. Several dear friends here have taken me into their prayers and their hearts. It all ties together. If your brain ain't in the program, your body won't be either. I started at 315 in 1982. I've maintained at 150 for the last 20 years. Not because I'm exceptional. But because I've had wonderful support of friends and family, and serious dumping. LOL. And just for good measure, remember my motto, if you think you're hungry, eat a pickle. With loving regards, Jac Re: Re: New Guy In a message dated 2/13/04 7:14:36 PM Eastern Standard Time, vickiang@... writes: > All right, I'm gonna stop with the therapy session now!
