From Childhood. Fought it in high school, until I got married. rapid gain the first year I was married, then totally out of control after childbirth. 3) How old were you when you went on your first diet? 12 4) How many " serious " diets have you been on in your life, where you had lost significant amounts of weight (50 lbs or more)? Been on 6 or so serious diets, never lost more than about 30 lbs 5) How long did you maintain those losses before regaining? a few months 6) Do you feel you have an eating disorder, or do you think there were other factors that contributed to being MO? Yes, binge eating, purging (maybe bulimia) 7) Childbirth issues: infertility treatment, twin pregnancy, then a single 22 months later. Both delivered c-section 7a) Do you have children? yes 7b) If so, how many? Three - Twin girls 18 this month, 16 year old boy 7c) How much weight was gained during pregnancy? 25 lbs with the twins, lost it all by 6 week check-up. (but was still mo) 40 with the boy never lost a pound after his birth. 7d) Did you eventually take off that weight? Yes with the first, no with the second 7e) How long did it take you to do so? 6 weeks, and never 8) Have you ever needed to be on a course of prescription drugs to treat a chronic or persistent ailment (like depression or chronic pain)? If so, did you gain weight while taking your medication? Took antidepressants on and off most of my adult life. Yes, I gained weight on them 9) What sort of WLS procedure did you have? (If RnY, prox / medial / distal? Specify other procedure, if applicable.) Open RNY/ prox 10) Have you been following a food regimen as a post-op? Exercise program? sporadically No support program from my surgeon, pretty much searched things out on my own. Have exercised sporadically. 11) Have you been following an exercise program as a post-op? Sporadically Joined Curves for just over a year, but during that time I had two surgeries.
