We have been seeing one at Children's Hospital and need a second opinion

or a change? Please let me know if you've had any experiences. Thanks!

I don't know of any, but might. She hasn't mentioned any to me and we

talk almost daily. We stopped going to Denver because we weren't happy with our

daughter's care there. We go to San now and are in the Veptr implant

program there. Most of the Colorado patients go to Salt Lake City for casting.

Where you go will depend on your child's needs. We would have to know more

about your childs scoliosis to even begin to make suggestions. Welcome to the

group.

Thanks for responding. We live in Nebraska and Denver is about 3 hours

away but Omaha is 7 hours so we are just trying to get a good second

opinion to figure out what's next. You can read about my son in post

called " Tethered cord cause scoliosis?. " Except for this website no one

has ever even mentioned casting to us. If we did do the casting I would

imagine we would try to get into SLC. I haven't been real excited about

our care at Children's in Denver except for the great neurosurgeon we

had for our cord detethering. Hope responds to my post. Someone

else suggested her as well.

is very busy at times, so I'm not sure if she reads all the posts. She

probably does, but I'm not sure. (i don't want to speak for her.) If she doesn't

respond soon, maybe start a post titled " H. " and I'm sure she see it.

She is definitely the person to in contact with.

Hi ,

There is no one casting in the Denver area. I think SLC would be the closest.

Maybe just contact them and see what they say. Explain the detethering etc.

Next time I talk to I will mention your post. She was having her

computer defragmented yesterday because it has been giving her problems.

Good Morning, .

Sorry, for the delayed reply. Thanks Jenn S., Shell, & (thanks for the

new referral !)...My computer has so many scoli files, it can hardly

function. I had some one clean it up yesterday.

Actually, there is someone treating infants/small children with progressive i.s.

" early " in the Denver area. His name is Dr. Mark kson at the Childrens

Hospital in Denver. He has the correct equipment, and has met with Dr. Mehta

each time she has been to Denver. They have consulted with one another on early

treatment, and I am very impressed with his early treatment program, so far.

, I will be available, and in my office today at approx. 10:00 a.m. Denver

time, if you would like to chat. 303 691 9339 Just ask for w/ ISOP.

Sincerely,

(HRH)
