Guest guest
Please edit your replies to emails on this board. It's one of our rules, and disregard will mean that you will not be able to post any more, only read.....and we know that's tough. :-) What this means is that when you reply to an email, position your cursor before you begin typing at the top of the email so that your response will be the first thing visible. Reply at the top of the email. This prevents readers from having to scroll through the message that they, too, have also read before. MOST importantly, delete absolutely as much of the message that you're responding to as possible. This reduces the size of emails for people with slow internet connections and makes it possible for the digest readers to understand what's going on with a message thread. The reason for leaving *part* of the original message in is so that people know the subject you're talking about. In many cases, the subject line of the email is all that is necessary and the entire message can be deleted. If this is unclear to you, or you do not know how to do this, please ask someone on the list for help and you'll get it as certainly as you get answers to other questions. in Austin List Moderator RNY April 1998
