Guest guest
Hi PJ, I was reading yesterday about bathroom posture and hemorrhoids: http://www.slate.com/id/2264657/ Thought you might find it interesting. Glad you're on the mend. fiona > > > > Thanks for everyone's support. I think things are looking up. The B I saw seems to be coming from the outside, none in the bowl now and a little on the TP now, and I have a long history of H- which I seem to have aggravated. Carlson's Vit E suppositories are doing the job. I went back to intro for 2 days with much settling down. Actually I had gone back to mostly intro for a little bit about a week ago and then suddenly felt like cr*p- physically and emotionally- maybe die-off? > > Life will bring us up and down's- and something like a death in the family or Katrina- can affect anyone. I know for me I had spent less time in the kitchen- on the road alot eating too much raw fruit/veggies, lara bars. etc in place of meals. I know it is time to get back to healthy soups, cooked foods, cooked fruits and veggies and let things settle down. > > I don't think this is anything to do with SCD- in fact- I think SCD was quite a protective factor here. It's just a tribute to the fact that we are humans, and stress/irregular eating can affect anyone. > > Knowing I have the support of this board is a huge help! > PJ > >

Guest guest
People are saying the Lara Bars are no longer legal (a big company bought them up). Maybe they were causing your problems? Glad you're feeling better though :-). Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 > > Thanks for everyone's support. I think things are looking up. Just as an FYI, too many larabars will set even people who have been stable for years off. I think it must be the spices or something. If you need a portable snack of this nature, pit several Medjool dates and press about three good sized pecan halves into each one and squish the date around the nuts. It's quite portable and very tasty, and is usually my answer to a ch-c-l-t- craving. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
