Guest guest
Ok, this might sound silly, but I was just looking into buying some new sunglasses because mine have gotten scratched. Then I realized, my face shape is about to change to some degree. I'm a " long chin, underbite, asymmetry " and will hopefully have some positive cosmetic changes made along with the medical corrections. Should I wait before I buy new sunglasses? (Surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow.) I've always been picky about the " trendy " shapes I buy, trying to find some that suit my funky face and not just any old pair. Who knows what I will look like afterward. I don't know if changes in my jawline will affect what glasses will look good on me or not. Thanks in advance for any opionions you can offer up! ~
Guest guest
, I would definitely wait! I definitely enjoyed buying a new pair after my surgery to suit my new face! It is a little pleasure actually that I would wait to enjoy with your new looks after surgery. You'll have to get a little used to them though first! I know some people that also get haircuts and everything because maybe they can wear a new style that never suited them before.... That's my $0.02. Guest guest
Tiff- u will def. want some during the recovery process-BUT you will be swollen so plan ahead! glasses that fit now might B uncomfortable from swelling< Are the ones you have so bad that you can't see? if so get a cheaper pair @Target or some where then as a present to yourself (after you recover) Get some AWESOME glasses! After your surgery the last thing you will be thinking about will be how trendy your glasses are! hope this helps --- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " memphis_tiff " <tiffany@t...> wrote: > Ok, this might sound silly, but I was just looking into buying some > new sunglasses because mine have gotten scratched. > > Then I realized, my face shape is about to change to some degree. Guest guest
, I just love this post because it's exactly one of the questions I had prior to my own surgery! I agree with Katja, I would wait until after surgery. I always had difficulty finding just the right shape of sunglasses for my long face prior to surgery but ever since surgery it seems that every pair I try on I actually like the way it looks. Since June 05 when I had the surgery I have bought 3 pairs of new sunglasses (obviously not expensive designer ones)and have just loved the new found freedom. Also the types of earrings I used to be able to wear was slim pickings but now I find more styles suit my new face. So there's plenty to look forward to after surgery:-) Sara > > Ok, this might sound silly, but I was just looking into buying some > > new sunglasses because mine have gotten scratched. > > > > Then I realized, my face shape is about to change to some degree. > I'm > > a " long chin, underbite, asymmetry " and will hopefully have some > > positive cosmetic changes made along with the medical corrections. > > > > Should I wait before I buy new sunglasses?
