According to this website, the vanilla flavour and aspartame are part of the Klean Prep, not separate sachets. I have done some more research, and I think that Golytely is SCD legal. I have not had a chance to phone the clinic during office hours yet, to check whether Golytely would be acceptable, and more to the point, whether I can get it without an Rx here in Toronto. >> 4 Dulcolax tablets - contain lots of SCD illegals >Boy howdie do they. Look for a local pharmacy brand of Docusate Sodium - >100 mg, which is a Stool Softener. Find >the one which has the fewest >illegals. I was hoping that I could use Miralax, or Restoralax as it is labelled here in Canada, but it's an osmotic laxative without the electrolytes, so I suspect that it acts differently from Ducosate Sodium. I am going to check with my local compounding pharmacy, to see what they might have available. >> 4 bottles of Gatorade (lemon-lime or orange - definitely not SCD legal, >> contains sugar syrup >This is supposed to help with the electrolytes. For some reason, that is no longer possible. So I think I will use the recipe on the breakingtheviciouscycle website. >> apple juice (I would use filtered apple cider, but I am also allergic to >> apples), ginger ale - not SCD legal unless I make it myself, white grape >> juice or white cranberry juice; I will have to search for SCD legal white >> grape juice and SCD legal white cranberry juice >If you're allergic to apples, I would emphatically not drink apple cider! >This process is hard enough without having a major allergy attack! I had the choice of getting a colonoscopy or else collecting samples to check for occult blood. Two years ago I collected samples, but I wasn't allowed to take Vitamin C for several days before and during the collection. By the time I was finished, I had acquired a severe respiratory infection, which I attributed to the absence of Vitamin C in my diet. That's why I chose the colonoscopy this time around. I hope I won't be sorry. Regards, Ellen
