The way they work is the policy is guaranteed issue but forthe first two years it only pays a return of premium plus a little more.Once you've had it two years, it pays the full policy amount. Generallyyou can get these only in small amounts up to $15,000 or $20,000. Theyare sometimes referred to as burial insurance because of their smallamounts. Putting dollars and cents to them and life is a bit strange buthere are some generalities if you think of them as investments.Typically, if you live between two around eight years they are a decentinvestment. If you live longer then you pay in more than you get out.The insurance company is actually gambling on you either dying withintwo years or living more than ten years. I'm not suggesting them butonly answering your question so you have the information. As to some who offer them:AARP does through New York LifeGerberColonial PennSearch "Guaranteed Acceptance Life Insurance" on google for to find moreinformation and perhaps more companies that offer such plans.Note: these are unlike what you see often advertised on tv that says nomedical exam and then throws in three simple questions. We all fail onthe three questions. On these policies however there are no questions tofail you. Again, the insurance company is playing the odds on your lifeexpectancy as basically they do with all life insurance.I did buy some....I figured one of three things could happen. I did inless than two years and nothing gained or lost. I die in 2-5 years orso, which was my life expectancy and its a good investment. I livelonger and its a lousy investment but I don't care....the goal is toalways make life insurance a lousy investment by living and paying along long long time.>> Hi..does anyone have life insurance? I've called several large & smallcompanies & noone will give me life insurance... any suggestions? ? I justwant to be prepared...i don't want family to have that burden-right nowit looks like i'm gonna have to save under my mattress...it' sterrible!!!! ! They all tell me the same thing NO! There has to be aninsurance company out there that will help us...i just haven't found oneyet. Any suggestions. ..please. .> dot/uip10/08/ 42/sa,tx>
