Guest guest
Hello all, I'm new to this group. The reason I joined is because I was searching online for a solution to my seemiingly growing lower jaw. I have to use all my neck and jaw muscles to hold it back so that it won't protrude out. I'm getting so tired from doing this. My general dentist says it's not serious enough for surgery. But I feel my lower jaw growing more and more outward (overbite?). I'm always pulling it back and making cracking noises. In fact, my whole jaw area seems to be forever growing bigger and outward. I went to orthodontist and they said braces won't be of much help. I feel the nodes in my neck getting really sore. What steps should I take now? Should I be calling oral surgeons for consultations? I live in San Francisco. I heard that some only consult if you have a referral from the general dentist. For those of you with the same experience and problem, would you please give me some advice about the steps I should take and the surgery...thanks so much!!
