Guest guest
- Congratulations - that is awesome news! Wow - I bet you are so-o thrilled; what a great Christmas present! I hope that my light at the end of the tunnel gets closer, but most days I still think I'm a l-o-n-g way off. My OD adjustment appointment is tomorrow and I'm hoping (praying, actually) that he tells me that I'm ahead of schedule, even just a tiny bit - it would really help my morale. Your news is wonderful! Congrats again, Caboose Lady!! ~~~~ Diane (Idaho) > Hi All, > > I just wanted to post to all my surgery buddies that my OD informed > me today that my Orthognathic journey is almost complete. Guest guest
WAAHOO!!! That is awesome! The best Christmas present ever! And even your dentist is pleased. That is great news all around. You're no longer our caboose - you're the locomotive now. Nothing new on my side of the tracks. My next OD appt isn't until Oct 31 and I don't see my OS again until Dec 20. I don't know how much more work I need with my braces. As far as I'm concerned, my bite is perfect but what do I know? I've only been a patient for 10 years. Both the OD and OS have said that they want to keep me in braces for at least another year to make sure everything remains stable. I'm still hoping to be surprised one day though and have them tell me they want to take them off. I am eating more and more. I ate some chicken and spinach pizza for lunch today. Yummy! I've even gained back a few pounds so today I weighed a whopping 91 lb. I feel better than I've felt in years. Other than my regular daily dose of Celebrex, I only need an occasional Tylenol. If only I didn't have to worry about studying and taking boards at the end of the month, life would be great. A huge cheer to you from NC. minirascal- > Hi All, > > I just wanted to post to all my surgery buddies that my OD informed > me today that my Orthognathic journey is almost complete. Guest guest
I just talked to my insurance company, the lady told me that becuase I did everything " in network " I will not have to pay a thing! I called about mu surgeon bill which was about 2750 which said I owe that and the insurance lady said the claim is still processing and I shouldnt have to pay anything. I feel alot better, i thought this was going to cost me a few grand, its not written in stone or anything yet but it appears I wont pay anything according to her. Guest guest
Wow, I'm envious - sure wish my insurance would pay something on mine. I'm having a BSSO (lower, set-back) and a LeFort 1-piece (upper, advancement) next year (originally in June, but may be moved up). My insurance excludes the surgery, so I'll be paying for it out- of-pocket. Luckily, I will be having my surgery at a small short-term hospital that charges alot less than my employer does. My employer is the largest hospital system in Idaho; too bad they provide such lousy health insurance to its employees. ~~~~ Diane (Idaho) > > I just talked to my insurance company, the lady told me that becuase I > did everything " in network " I will not have to pay a thing!
