I hope that many people will send emails/real letters to Jennie's Macaroons and

ask them to please continue to make SCD-legal cookies. Even if they have to

have different kinds and the SCD ones cost more. --Ellen

Regrettably, we recently had to add Organic Evaporated Cane Juice with Honey to

all of our macaroons.

This is due to the cost of Pure Honey going up steadily for the last several

years. It was becoming too cost prohibitive to keep do it without substantially

raising the price on the shelf.

This does not add any more calories or change the Nutrition Information from our

prior offered product.

Below is an ingredient list of our Coconut Macaroons.

Thank you again for being a fan of our products.

Hi,

I'm a big fan of your Jennies coconut macaroons. However, I'm concerned about

some info circulating on a Yahoo group regarding the fact that evaporated cane

juice is being added to the ingredients. The reason I ask is my niece has

Crohn's Disease and she and many other people with that condition follow a

strict diet called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. On this diet your macaroons

are considered safe to eat as long as the only sweetener is honey. Evaporated

cane juice would have adverse health effects.

The info on the Yahoo group scd_newengland says that evaporated

cane juice is being added even though it isn't listed in the ingredients. Would

you please let us know definitively.

Thanks,
