Guest guest
Hi , The tube is not supposed to leak with the plug out but 1 in 4 that I use on Jillie does. As your daughter's tube is new, it cannot be switched early as it might be hard to get a new one in. Just be careful to keep the plug in and when you have to open it and attach an extension tube, do it quickly so there is minimal leakage. Clean skin after any leakage as the stomach contents can be a bit acidic and may irritate the skin. > > Hey all. just wanted to ask a question if anyone else has had this. 1 > week ago we finally began to use the button for Autumns g-tube, up > until that time (2 weeks) the tube had been attatched to the button and > tapeddown to her skin to immobilize it...the surgeon said that less > movemetn at first the better the tract heals correctly ....? Guest guest
Max's always leaked, too. We had to keep gauze around it and wash the area with hydrogen peroxide and water and soap to keep it clean. Eventually he was able to have a button big enough so that the leaking was minimal.
