Guest guest
I too wish I had gone with the dehydrator....unfortunately I got the yogourmet before this thread started...Cody Hey - no problem! I think you are making the right decision with the dehydrator. In hindsight, I wish I would have bought one instead of the yogurt maker- because I'll end up with the dehydrator anyway and I plan on being on this diet for a long time! I'm not sure about legal ham, but I just posted some legal bacons in case you are interested. -Joanna P.S. That's fantastic about getting off the steriods! Good luck with your other drug adjustments. > > Thank you so much for your help. I think I'm going to get the dehydrator. Like I was saying, I'm such a bad cook. I didn't know how to boil an egg up until a few days ago. I've tried several of the recipes and have had to throw them out. So I need something easy. > About the Remicade, I'm going to wait. Cody, you asked what side effects I had heard about. I've heard of chest pains, numbness in the hands and feet and severe headaches. I asked my doctor if I could increase my medication and he agreed to try it. From 6 to 9 Asacol pills a day and from 50 to 75mg of the 6MP a day. Yesterday was my last steriod pill. I have bad veins and I'm really nervous about the Remicade. My husband wants me to try it, but I hear such great things about this diet from everyone, I'm confident that it will work for me as well if I just give it time. Does anyone know of a legal ham I could buy? All of them seem to have brown sugar. > Thanks- > -- cody schregerwww.codyjs.com

Well, I went with the Yogourmet first, because I wanted to see if the diet was going to work for me. After I went crazy my first Christmas trying to make enough yogurt for all the dishes that required " cream " in them (the meal was for nine people) in one Yogourmet, I ordered the Excalibur in January. Now I have two Yogourmets (one sent as a gift after Hurricane Katrina, since I didn't think to grab mine when evacuating) and two Excaliburs. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
If you can find ham that was cured locally without sugar, you can have that. Or, just buy an uncooked ham from a butcher. It's really just a big piece of pork but then you can cure it or just cook it up yourself. As far as I know that's your only option for ham.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 11 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Colazol - 9 pills a day Prednisone 25mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now.To: BTVC-SCD From: codyjs@...Date: Thu, 19 Aug 2010 22:45:18 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Joanna, Alyssa, Cody, Misty thank you for your help!
