Hi Jody, as a child, and still now i love swimming, i used to get called ,

tadpole because i used to swim in and out of peoples legs underwater. Due to my

low bodyweight i learned to swim underwater as i couldnt float unaided, this was

a problem at swimming lessons in school as although i was a confident swimmer i

wasnt allowed to progress rapidly due to my being unable to swim above water and

float. At my local pool there is a special night set for disabled people only

and the swimming pool is heated upp more than usual so my doctor referred me as

i wouldnt feel the cold as much as on normal swimmimg sessions. I started at

the sessions at a very young age and now with painful joints i find swimmimg a

freeness and easier on my joints. Maybe its an idea to see if a local pool has

special nights for people needing warmer water and see if your child could get

in

Hope all is well with everyone

Hi Jody,

I forgot to mention. loves swimming. He used to get very

cold. We bought him a wet suit . They sell ones for kids in scuba

diving shops. They come in different thicknesses depending on

the temp of the water.

I hope this helps.
