Coby's trip to the hospital and update

I promised several of you an update, sorry it's taken me so long to

get to it, but I think we are finally on the road to recovery!!!

As you all know, this was Coby's 4th hypospadias repair. They used

a longer tube this time for drainage and it had been very painful

for him. The tube was left in for 10 days and on Monday we went and

had it removed. I was so relieved. Finally, Coby would not be in

pain and maybe would sleep half way thru the night.

No such luck. They didn't warn me that after the trauma of the

surgery and the irritation of the tube that Coby may have problems

urinating. I took him home Monday night and he screamed all night

long. It was like he was still having the bladder spasms from the

tube. Finally, that morning I got in touch with the nurse and she

told me to get him to the hospital ASAP. They had me put in in a

warm tub of water and it relaxed him enough that he could urinate.

He is now on another medication to help with the pain and sting of

urinating and he has been a happy camper every sense!!!

So hopefully this really does mean that he is getting better.
