Guest guest
Hi Ogie, Hope everything went well. Let us know how you are doing. If I have surgery, it will also be in Kaiser so I'm very interested in knowing how everything went. Who is your surgeon? I've heard very good things about the surgeons in Kaiser but I'm scared (ahhhh, the hardest decision of my life!). I'm afraid my overall appearance will change drasticly. Good luck in your recovery! ogie_castillo408 wrote: Hi to all! This is my first time posting a message. I have been reading and browsing the photos here for quiet awhile now. I'm really amazed how many people that have gone through and will go through this kind of procedure. Well today is the big day. I need to be at the hospital at 6:30 AM and its actually 3AM now. I tried sleeping but for some reason I'm not able to fall asleep. I'm not sure wether I'm nervous or excited. Maybe a little bit of both. Well, I'm having an upper jaw surgery today at Kaiser in Oakland. My Oral Surgeon is moving my upper jaw at about 4cm. That's all I know. Honestly, I'm not really nervous about the procedure itself, but the recovery, that's what's bothering me. Well, can't back-out now. Wish me luck!!!! Which I know I didn't have. But since I'm a smoker, maybe that's the one that contributed to the " asthma " attack. After the surgery, I was in recovery room at night, my nose began to bleed. It bled until the following afternoon. My face was very swollen. They didn't know what it was. So, they opened me up again and didn't see anything. They said it was an " allergic " reaction. They said its just one of those cases. Right now, I'm doing fine. My face is still swollen but I think I'm on my road to recovery. Hi Ogie, Hope everything went well. Let us know how you are doing.
