I highly recommend BraceGard, a silicone brace wax. You can order it

through SmileShop.com.

I have a big wad of BraceGard in right now, as last night I finally

figured out that a lot of my discomfort lately has been caused by my

cheek incisions rubbing against my brackets way in the back. Duh. I

wore the wax last night and most of today and I'm not in pain anymore,

hooray!

Diane, another thing: My strategy with the braces has been to wear the

wax at night, which gives things a chance to heal, rather than in the

daytime when it's more of a hassle (for eating, etc.).
