Adjustment Period Suggestions!

My 6 month old was doing great adjusting to his band until the last couple of days when he had to wear it at night. The first night he was crying out in his sleep so much that we took it off of him. The last two nights he has woken up every hour (he used to sleep the night). He's also waking up from naps and I'm worried he is getting sleep deprived. He tugs at the band and hits it throughout the day. He has always been a very smiley baby and nothing seems to make him smile these days. I'm so worried about him and just wondered if anyone else had a similar experience. How long did it take for your baby to adjust to the band? What strategies did you use to help?
