Don't worry about IV fluids. This completely bypasses the gut.Sugars are only a

problem if they are in your gut to feed bugs. Let them give you all the fluids

you need by IV. Then you can sip on SCD legal fluids like diluted juice or tea

with honey. Do you have someone who can bring you SCD legal drink/food from

home?

Hey,

I was just thinking of you this morning actually, wondering how things were

going for you, as I could totally relate to your post a few weeks back.

I am right at 4 months SCD, and experiencing pretty painful setbacks too, which

started at 3 months. I recently had an xray done that show my colon very

inflamed, and now have an ultrasound scheduled for monday. The Country Doc

thinks it might be colitis. I have this incredible pain in my left side, it

wakes me up every night, and its hard to function during the day with it! I am

also getting super bloated and uncomfortable, so I am back on intro foods.

I hope you are able to heal quickly!!! I wish I could be of more help. I have

yet to be diagnosed with Crohn's or Colitis, but have an appointment with a GI

doc in a few weeks, and am suspecting Colitis is what I have, I know I have one

heck of an inflamed colon!

Good Luck!

Get Well Soon!!!

Drink lots of Chicken Soup!!!

This has been something I've been concerned with. I'm so blessed to have never

had an IV except when I was having babies. In fact, it's one reason that I

haven't let either of the surgeons who wanted to take out the left side of my

thyroid. I saw them about what is apparently either a goiter or hashimoto's. I

don't have ins. or $4000... besides which, I suspect that I SHOULD be concerned

about IVs since I get weird itchy bumps when I eat honey or other high-for-me

carbs intake. Is there anybody else who suspects they have an infestation that

might be " systemic " ?
