Chat - Ian's Medical Records from the Hospital

Here's one for you. I opened the mail yesterday in the midst of

getting the house ready for 's b-day party and I get a

package from a records company that processes medical record copies

when the hospital can not do it themselves. When I opened the

package the first three pages were simply information on obtaining a

request for the copies - then I looked at the rest of it and IT WAS

SOMEONE ELSES MEDICAL RECORDS! Well, you could imagine how angry I

was. I called the medical records department and demanded I speak

to the VP. I got the Director and told her that this was completely

irresponsible on their part and incredibly unnacceptable and I

wanted this situation rectified to my satisfaction immediately.

Well, she took my phone number with a promise to call me back. 10

minutes later I got a phone call from the President of the records

company apologizing and promising he would look into the matter

himself. As a matter of fact - he is meeting with me personally at

the hospital today after my appointment with Ian's GI doc. I told

him I wasn't sure how long the appointment would last - but, he

assured me he would Wait for me. I did mention the ramifications

this held if he was unable to find where Ian's documents were. (I

did this all while putting him on hold while paying the Dominoes

pizza man !LOL)

I'll keep you posted - we see him today. Guess I better put a suit

on!
