Sorry for the empty message I just sent; my email decided to send it

before I typed! stupid computer.

I will see if I can fit in another consult....it just took me so much

time to find this ortho though; and getting another appointment and

taking more time from work, and all that.... I know it's not that big

of a deal, considering what I'm committing to, but it's just a pain!

I'm scheduled to get braces on my bottom teeth on Thursday....I don't

know if it's even worth trying to go to another consult, b/c I think

I'll have a contract signed or something like that? Arrgh. Either

way, the bottom teeth treatment is separate from the top.. figured I

could get ahead of the game and get my bottoms started.

My OMS consult isn't until the end of November. ARRGH.

to make matters worse,I'm really cranky b/c this weekend was my first

wedding anniversary, and it was basically a total flop. And now it's

Monday..

Hi ,

I know it is a lot of information to process. I had the same

reaction initially. I agree that a third consult might give you a

better idea, and perhaps a slightly different take. Be really

prepared with your own list of conserns. If the jaw length bothers

you, specifically have them explain options to you. If you are

concerned about your root health, ask about that specifically too.

So much has changed over the last few years, and you really want to

know what is available now, the recoveries, and complication risks

and factors.

But the third consult was easier for me. I already had an idea of

what would be discussed. By the third, I wasn't in shock sitting

there discussing the HUGE committment and recovery issues I would be

facing, and I could ask more meaningful questions about how it would

impact my face and function when I was through the main part of

recovery. In other words I was more able to determine what my

ultimate result would be because I could really be specific with the

OD about what I wanted from it. Maybe that was just me, but the

third one really was the charm for me! lol

Good luck to you with this! I know it is a lot. I did finally

decide to go with the whole package, but I can definately see why

someone would go another direction. Let us know what you decide to

do!

Hugs,

Fran

Hi ,

It sounds like you are having a rough week all around. Sorry about

that. You might call to see if you can squeeze one in before your

appointment on Thursday. Too bad you can't talk with your OMS

before you get started with the braces. That would probably help

you with this too. In any case, sending you good thoughts on this.

And hoping you can take an evening this week to make a special

anniversary evening. That is such a special time. Maybe do a one-

year-one-week-one-hour anniversary! lol It isn't really the time

and date that is important, it is the bonds of committment that is

celebrated. At one year, you have earned the right to have a good

time together. Hope it goes well on that special day.

Hugs,

Fran
