Anyone wear Invisaligns prior to surgery??

Hi All-

So I've already asked this question, but thought I'd ask one more time

since I need to make my final decision about which ortho. I am going to

choose (trying to decide between two different orthos). So one guy

told me that I could wear Invisaligns for several months prior to

surgery, then he would switch me over to braces prior to surgery.

Another ortho. that I went to said absolutely not regarding the

Invisaligns. He said that with the type of treatment plan I need, the

Invisaligns would not make sense. They both have very reputible

reputations so I don't know who to listen to. (My oral surgeon also

highly recommended both of them) Has anyone here ever had invisaligns

prior to surgery, and then had them switch to braces just before?

I am 27 years old, single female. The idea of wearing braces for a

year is so terribly unappealing. I feel like I am going to be dateless

for an entire year if I am in braces, that's why the idea of wearing

Invisaligns is quite enticing. However, I really want to do this

orthodontic treatment correctly.

Any opinions/suggestions?
