Guest guest
Hey Cherie. I'm glad that everything went well with Dr. Harbison. Did you like her? That is what we need! Someone who KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING! Can I get her telephone number from you so that I can get Brockton an appt? What is the armidex for? Is okay with the fact the he will need GHT? I will feel so much better about Brockton's diagnosis if I get it from someone that KNOWS about RSS. Please give me a call. I'd love to hear about your trip and Dr. Harbison! Glad you are all safe. He is seven and a half years old and has been doing great until recently. At his yearly endo apt. his bone age suddenly accelerated to 9 1/2 years. Our endo's only response was " See you next year " Fortunately that little voice inside told me something was wrong. After voicing concerns on this list, I went back to my endo with all the awesome info you all provided. He reluctantly ordered miniaml bloodwork at my insistance and then insisted there was nothing to be done despite Very elevated DHEA and prolific pubic hair. This took several months to accomplish and numerous phone calls. Once again, fortunately I had already scheduled an apt. with Dr. Harbison do to all of your encouragement. WOW! What a difference, from this glazed over look any time I asked questions, to someone that cared and actually had a game plan based on clinical data. I only regret it took us so long to establish with her! We have started Armidex and will probably start growth hormones in three months. is tracking in the 50% in height and weight for his chronalogical age, but has a 16 cm deficit in Height for his bone age, something our original endo was oblivious to! Thank you all for your patience and assistance to those of us that aren't as active on this list. You have made a huge difference in my son's life and I lack the words to convey how much this means to me. I hope to meet many of you at the next MAGIC convention. Guest guest
Cherie - that is such great news about your visit with Dr. H. It must be so comforting to know that you have someone with the expertise that you can trust. I'm so glad you are keeping us informed of Jonathons progress. You'll have to give us updates on your experiences with the growth hormone. How is Jonathon doing otherwise? Did he feel comfortable at his appointment? How is he doing in school? Hope to hear from you soon. - H > > Hi, > I don't post very often, but I feel I Owe all of you a huge debt of > gratitude. My son, just had his first visit with Dr. > Harbison.
