Guest guest
My DD had her Lafort I Ostonomy on Saturday in a 4 hour surgery. It went well but after she bled for quite a while but the NG tube that was in her nose and down into her stomach prevented her from vomiting. We came home this morning from the hospital now the fun begins on my part. She cannot eat anything but drink. She cannot open her mouth even a little bit and using a cup does not work, I bought a mustard type bottle for me when I had my surgeries that worked a little bit but she kept crying when trying to eat or take medicine. She is 18 and never cries so she must be miserable. I got a gift from (). She sent my DD a bunch of zip and squeeze bags. She was able to take in some chicken broth and drink some apple juice since she could stick the straw in the side of her mouth and manage to get the liquids behind her teeth to swallow. She is forever calling me (she cannot speak so she calls my cell phone from her cell phone as it shows up her name) and I haven't gotten any sleep but snatches here and there. Plus it is so hard as a Mom seeing my Angel hurting so bad. Her little tiny face is now so hugely swollen and misshapen. My vent is over now. Welcome to my pity party. My question is why is her lips and nose suddenly feeling like it has a buzzy asleep feeling.
