I tried a product today that I thought was really yummy and thought I

would pass on the information.

It is a " chip " made by Atkins. Called " Crunchers " snack chips. I

tried the " Original " flavor (it also came in Sour Cream and Nacho Cheese).

The stats are: Serving size - 1ounce, Calories - 90 Total Fat 3 g

(saturated fat=0), Sodium 440 mg, Potassium 500 mg, Total Carbohydrate 8 grams

(Dietary Fiber 4 g and Sugars 0 g), Protein 13 g.

The ingredients are: Soy protein concentrate, tapioca starch,

sunflower oil, kettle seasoning, salt.

I found these to very tasty - much more potato chip like than soy

crisps - plus their protein content is MUCH higher than soy crisps AND the fiber

content is higher AND the net carbs are much lower.

They came in a single serving bag that I got at CVS on sale for

99cents (regular price $1.49). They are a bit pricey, but dang, they were good.

The single bag was very filling -- my pouch was pretty dang full after eating

the bag -- in fact, it was my entire lunch (I ate them in between running

errands).

I'm not typically a big fan of Atkins products, as they are frequently

high in fat, including saturated fats -- but these, I give a big thumbs up.

They have more protein than several of the " protein bars " out there (Luna,

etc.) and far fewer calories. And, they really satisfied that need for

" crispy/salty. "
