I want to thank you for this post, ceep. I suspected it was a pain to

moderate a list, but I had no idea the extent that it put demands on 's

time,

good will, and wallet. And demands to his co-moderators too!

Just to demonstrate the importance of editing for us digest dweebs (yes I

will switch over to individuals in a few weeks!): when there was the recent

discussion about Syndrome X, I nearly found myself entering Syndrome H (for

homicidal) with the repeated recopying of the very long reference piece that

accompanied the initial post. It was BRUTAL scrolling through those digests!

I

felt myself almost losing consciousness. I only like to do that over drinks!
