Guest guest
Pandy, pass the EMLA, honey! (what the HELL is an extended extended extended bikini wax???? I am frightened to know! LOL!) Actually I was pretty much " finished " with electrolysis when the EMLA made the scene, so I never tried it. Had heard it is a very good product. I will not hesitate to get it from my dermo if and when I work up the balls to finish off the few hairs I still got croppin' up under my nose & on my chin (well right now, two chins LMAO! okay okay okay a chin and a half). You know, menopause and perimenopause can do strange things to a girl's hormone bath. Let me tell you the crazy things we girls will do to attain " beauty " . When I was doing the electrolysis, the upper lip was so excruciating that I couldn't tolerate more than maybe 10 - 15 minutes work on it at one time, TOPS. And I couldn't take too much current. Now, electrolysis is a process that requires some investment in pain, in order to get results. So, what I did, and this has precedent in the wonderful world of hair removal, is I got a dentist or two to shoot up my upper mouth area with mega doses of novocaine, which in turn numbed up half my friggin' face, so that I could comfortably lay on that torture table and have the electrolygist work on me for a straight hour or hour and a half, at as high a current as it was dermotalogically safe to go. I was SO numb you could have smacked me in the kisser with a 2 x 4 and I wouldn't have felt a thing ... SERIOUSLY! I would have just spit out my bloody teeth and smiled my numb dopey toothless grin -- WHEN I was able to move my cheek muscles, that is. I was lucky in that I found a couple of dentists who were accomodating, but there was one guy who acted like I was asking him to perform a back-alley abortion on me, I am NOT kidding! I can still recall how " small " he made this MO girl feel at the time. What an asshole! Normally, I am not at a loss for words, but I was reduced to just crawling embarrassedly out of his office with my hairy tail between my legs. I could have kicked myself later when I thought that I should have said to him: " Hey stupid, you're confusing which body cavity I'm asking you to numb! " His wife must have been such a lucky lady LMAO! Oh such cherished memories (::vomit: Lucille > Two words: EMLA cream. Get your doctor to prescribe some.
