Guest guest
Any ideas on getting my daughter to keep the helmet on? She is able to slide it over her head. CT said I could tighten the helmet just a little bit and keep an eye on red spots and none have appeared. This only serves to make my daughter scream as she pushes off the helmet. I think she messes with the helmet for one of two reasons: she's bored or her ears are bothering her (we have lots of ear infections). So far I try to distract her into a new activity and then when she persists I put her in time out without the helmet and say " No helmet, No toys. " and this is slowly taking effect. I have been doing time out for about 2 months now and she already had some understanding of time out. (She is 14 months now) Any other tips or tricks? She takes the helmet off several times a day, usually in bursts and then leaves it alone for awhile. And I am not willing to stop the helmet yet...
