Guest guest
Sorry, I didn't see this until today. Did the appointment go okay? I wouldn't go to a provider that makes you uncomfortable. I'd ask how long they've been doing bands and how many they've made, what other children's results have been, if they can show you before and after pictures or give references, what your child's measurements are and what they mean, whether they recommend treatment or not and why, what to expect to pay yourself and through insurance, what the next steps are regarding obtaining a prescription and obtaining insurance coverage, how long your child will need to wear them helmet, how often it will be adjusted, how soon you can get in if your child has an unexpected problem with the helmet, and what results you can expect when treatment is done. Also, make sure you find info on torticollis and, especially if your child has plagiocephaly, get a referral from the pediatrician to a physical therapist for an evaluation if you suspect torticollis. > > We have an appointment on Tuesday at Park tt for a Starband consultation. Can anyone tell me what to expect at a first visit? Also what kinds of questions should I ask? I just want to be prepared so if they jerk me around like the last place I will know about it before I leave so I can have the upper hand. > > Thanks for your help > >
