Guest guest
This is a common mistake, to think you can skip Intro because you don't really need it. I know it's one I made. In my case, I had achieved the diet except I was eating rice, so I figured at first that I was " almost there " and thought it was confirmed when, three days later, I felt markedly better. A nice beginning. However, two months later after a dental procedure gone wrong, when I could hardly open my mouth and was only eating soup, pureed chicken and zucchini it sometimes, and applesauce and mashed banana, I realized, " Hey, I'm on Intro! " . I was on it for about five days before the problem got fixed with my mouth. And, much to my surprise, Intro helped me feel better, gut calmed down more and " output " improved as well. So, I would say, definitely do Intro. If there are things that are legal, and used on Intro, but you know they don't agree with you, then skip them for now. And I would also suggest after Intro going ahead and adding one food at a time, to see if the normal way of adding foods helps you. The only way to know is to try it. It's slow and a nuisance, we can all attest to that, but it usually helps and you've got a good chance it may help you. I didn't do the Introduction Diet because I have never suffered from diarrhoea (English spelling) and I assumed that I didn't need to undergo initial healing and so I just went immediately for all the legal foods. Maybe I should try the Intro Diet.
Guest guest
Hi Mara “You would think that some doctor somewhere would enjoy the challenge of trying to solve this” Yes, I did think this for a long time but unfortunately gastroneterologists are so busy and every day they tell someone they have cancer and everyday one of their patients dies so my ongoing misery just pales into the background. I have seen 10 gastroenterologists and if my memory serves me right 9 colorectal surgeons. I am due to see a new gastro next week who states that they (5 of them) work as a team so I am hoping they will come up with something. Anyway, thanks for your help and support.
