Guest guest
Hi! Cosmetic surgery is an extra bonus we get. I sometimes feel like I've gone through an extreme makeover. I also started dyeing my hair red to cover up the mousy brown/gray hair I had so I really look different. When I sent our family Christmas picture to my old college roommate, she and her husband argued over which one was me. She recognized me by my eyes only since that is the only thing which is still the same. Even my nose is different after my surgeon straightened it out and did a septoplasty during my lefort. He even put a stitch in my very thin lips to make them appear bigger. I also was getting botox injections to loosen up my jaw muscles. The last time, my surgeon had a little bit left over so he asked me if I wanted him to inject around my eyes and forehead. His nurse smacked him and said " No way! She already looks very young. " He just injected the rest into my jaw muscles instead. When people ask me how I look so young, I just tell them it's the botox and face lifts. They look at me like I'm crazy but it's kind of true and easier than explaining my whole situation. If I had to pick, I'd definitely choose the jaw surgery over the knee surgery you had. Ow, that sounds really painful. A class II configuration of the bands means that they pull my lower jaw forward as if compensating for an overbite (class II bite). Class III is the opposite. Right now, I have a band going from my left lower premolar to my upper incisor pulling the left side of my jaw forward. I put another band on my right lower canine to the upper premolar pulling the right side back rotating my entire lower jaw over to the right. Does that make sense? Now if I could just figure out what the orthodontist does, I could save a few trips there. Ha-ha! ;-) I go back to work on Monday, evening shift. There shouldn't be many drunks on a Monday night but you'd be surprised. It should be a pretty good shift but I'll call on that bulldozer if I need it. Have fun with that digital camera. I want to see some pictures. Some day I'll get around to posting some of my own. > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > > > I just got back from the OS. I am officially banded.
