Guest guest
Hi , I think there are no guarantees. A band can help with ears and facial asymmetry, since those things correct along with the head, but you can't tell. The band can't hold in those areas the same way, so there is less control. If you aren't happy with her head and facial asymmetry I would definitely do the second band. Otherwise you'll always wonder " what if... " . Also if she does have tort you should make sure to do PT too. The muscles can effect facial asymmetry a lot, so you need to work on them too. You may not get full correction, but you'll have done as much as you can. If they are willing to do a 2nd band it means that there is enough asymmetry in her head to justify it. If her head is fully corrected (or nearly there) they won't do a 2nd band. -christine sydney, 5 yrs, starband grad > > In short, we are debating our second DOCband. My daughter has already seen great improvement in head shape, and grew out of her 1st band in only 5 weeks. > > I'm most concerned about facial asymmetry and ear alignment, but Cranial Tech doesn't seem to guarantee anything but head shape improvement (I asked). If I am most concerned about asymmetry and not so much head flattening, should I still do the second band or am I just wasting my time? > > Any insight is appreciated! > > Thanks, > >
