,

Glad to hear you made it through the day! The first day back was the

worst for me...everyone kept wanting to talk which was so tiring. I

hear you about not being able to eat properly while at work - for me

I've been able to stay home until after lunch (around 12:30) and then

work til about 6. I guess it's one of the better parts of being a

grad student :o) I'm not sure if you liked the ensure...but I keep a

couple of those in the frig at work in case I get a late afternoon

hunger pang (or if everyone else is eating). There were also these

yogurt smoothie things I bought at costco which I stocked up on at

work. Just remember to take the time to stay nourished!

I'm not sure who mentioned it - but I've been having an Odawalla or

Naked juice once a day to help fulfill my fruit and veggie

requirements (Joey's idea). I really like the mango naked juice and

the superfood odawalla. I think they're about 300 calories...so they

also help fill you up (just watch out for a sugar rebound).

Hope you have a good day tomorrow too!!

cheers,

-becky

Glad you survived the day. I knew you would :) I know my kids

laugh when I grab a jar of baby food to eat! My daughter, who is

almost 5, asked if she could feed me!!!

I mowed my lawn today with a riding lawn more. It felt good to do

something and I didn't feel like I had over done anything. With a

push more I probably would have over done it, but not riding

around. It felt good to " drive " !

Hi ,

Glad to hear your first day back to work went well. I took an

additional 2 weeks off so will go back on Aug 8th. I talk on the

phone all day so I figured it wouldn't hurt to take more time off so

my jaws can heal better and my doctor didn't mind.

I'm worried about eating at work and not getting enough calories in

also. I been drinking boost in the morning and it lasts me till

lunch time. I've been eating pretty good at home so I will have to

plan my meals when I go back to work. I haven't tried the baby foods

yet.

Glad to hear that you made it through the first day. Don't let that

get out about the laugh lines or the rest of us will have to stand in

line to get a surgery date (HA). How long were you out?

, Congratulations on surviving your first day back to work!!

Sounds like it was an interesting day too. I wish there was a place

where I could take a nap at work, but it's actually against my

hospital's work policy to snooze while on the premises - Darn! And, I

LUV the part about your wrinkles disappearing post-surgery - just

another thing to look forward to - Awesome! As for your nutritional

needs not being met, could you bring blenderized foods to work with

you in a Thermos or tupperware container? Maybe blend your meals in

the morning before you leave for work and then microwave if it needs

to be warmed up. Just a suggestion - that's what I will probably do

when it's my turn to return to work (next summer after I've been off

from work for four to six weeks: I have " short term disability paid

time off " and have amassed a total of thirteen weeks!). Well, take

care of yourself and get lots of rest tonite! ~~ Diane

Hey --Caboose,

I am so happy that your day went alright! I gives

hope to us all! :)

I am glad that you coworkers were sensitive and

pointed out the good things also. And taking a nap

was a smart thing to do. Sorry about your not getting

enough calories while at work, hopefully you will be

able to figure that out.
