Guest guest
NO, NO,and NO! Please toss it! How on earth can we judge just how deep or not the wretched mold has gotten into your food even if not visible to the naked eye? The consequences of any nasty side effects may not even be immediately obvious, but will be festering inside you for sure. Have I scared you enough? If I see even one small patch of mold showing up on any fruit etc I toss it - just not worth it, the indication is fermentation of the ugly kind has started which will definitely be an issue for anyone especially those with compromised digestions and immune system problems. Just wondering if the milk you are using and the starter are good to begin with? Could the quality of either be the issue? Guest guest
I personally wouldn't worry about it, there is a lot of mold in the air this season with all the humidity. besides there are literally 1000's+ of mold species, some bad some good, so IMHO it just doesn't pay to be fearful of ALL molds. best, Steve CD 1973 SCD 1998 > > NO, NO,and NO! Guest guest
I have always just cut the mold off of fruit. Things like berries and peaches will grow a spot of mold within 24 hours of purchasing, and I can't run to the grocery store everyday of the week to buy more ;-). I always just wash off everything with a solution of grapefruit seed extract before I eat it. Doesn't stomach acid probably kill anything bad anyway? Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 > > NO, NO,and NO!
